Issue: You may see the error message: "Sorry, Artec Studio encountered an internal error and cannot open this project. Please open a new project, or contact Artec Support for help."
Cause: This error typically indicates that the project file is corrupted. Possible reasons for this corruption include:
- The project was not closed or saved properly.
- The storage location is synced with a service/software that may modify files (e.g., adding flags) and lead to corruption.
- Using external storage (like a network drive or cloud service) with intermittent connectivity.
Preventive actions:
- wait till the project is properly saved before closing
- Save the project to the local drive, disable synchronization with Onedrive and similar services
If you have the issue, please do the following:
- close Artec Studio
- place the archive on any file storage and share it with support@artec3d.com or request Artec 3D Support to create a storage for your project, once we share the link, upload the archive.
