Issue: Artec Installation Center failes to start with "Can't run cosecas.exe from C:/Program Files/Artec/Artec Installation Center"

 

 

Cause: In majority of cases, the issue caused by antivirus software blocking or removing cosecas.exe

 

Solition:

  • Verify File Existence:
    Check if the file cosecas.exe exists in the directory C:/Program Files/Artec/Artec Installation Center. If the file is missing, please reinstall the Artec Installation Center.

  • Temporarily Disable Antivirus:
    If the file is present, temporarily disable your antivirus software and attempt to run the Artec Installation Center again. If this resolves the issue, add cosecas.exe to your antivirus exceptions.

  • Check User Permissions:
    Ensure the user has sufficient rights to run the program. Try running both the installation and the program with administrator rights. To do this, right-click on the installation file or the program icon and select "Run as administrator."
