AMD Radeon/FirePro drivers, tested and approved by Artec3D

The following video cards were tested with Artec Studio 15/16

  • Radeon™ Pro W5700 / 20.Q2
  • Radeon™ RX580 / 20.2.2
  • Radeon™ HD 7700 / 20.2.2
  • Radeon Pro W6800 /21.Q2

The latest AMD drivers (18.Q2, 8 May-2018) have been verified by Artec QA team for the following video card models:

  • Radeon™ Pro WX 2100
  • Radeon™ Pro WX 3100
  • Radeon™ Pro WX 4100
  • Radeon™ Pro WX 5100
  • Radeon™ Pro WX 7100
  • FirePro™ W7100

Environment: Windows 10, Artec Studio version 12.1.6.16

We are happy to report, that the latest AMD drivers release (18.Q1, 13 Feb-2018) has been verified by Artec team, so Artec Studio 12 is fully compatible with the following video cards: 

  • Radeon Pro WX 2100
  • Radeon Pro WX 3100
  • Radeon Pro WX 5100
  • Radeon Pro WX 7100
  • FirePro W4300
  • FirePro W7100

These cards are also listed on "ISV Application Certified Drivers" page at AMD website.

Environment: Windows 10, Artec Studio version 12.1.1.12

Artec Studio 11 has been tested together with Radeon Pro WX 5100 (drivers version 16.40.2802) under Windows 7 and 10. All Artec Studio 11 algorithms are running fine, including real-time fusion and texture mapping that uses the video card in the most extensive way comparing to other algorithms.

Artec Studio 11 has been tested together with Radeon Pro WX 7100 - the fastest single-slot, ready for VR graphic card.

So scanning with Artec Eva and Spider works perfectly in Artec Studio 11 and post-processing algorithms calculate at the top speed as well. We have performed all tests under Windows 7 & 10 in Artec Studio version 11.2.1.77.

Certified AMD drivers version is 16.40.2802. Direct links to download these drivers are available in AMD FirePro Certified Applications list.

Artec Studio 10 and 11 are available in AMD FirePro™ Professional Graphics Certified Applications list together with models of tested video cards, drivers and OS.

Artec Studio 11 has been tested with AMD cards (including real-time fusion scanning algorithm, scanning in all modes, basic post-processing sequence and texture mapping).

These drivers are working perfectly with all 3D algorithms in Artec Studio 11.

Thanks to AMD team for providing FirePro cards for extensive testing with Artec Studio and Artec scanners. The results of these tests can be found below divided by dates when the tests were performed.

Artec Studio 10 is added to Certified Applications list, so please feel free to use the corresponding drivers.

Tested configurations:

Scanning performance:

All scanning modes are working in a usual way, including scanning in real-time fusion mode with Artec Eva, Artec Spider.

Post-processing performance:

All algorithms from Edit, Tools and Texture sections are working properly.

  • Driver: 14.502.1019.0
  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8
  • Artec Studio 10.1.0.92

Scanning performance:
All scanning modes are working in a usual way, including scanning in real-time fusion mode with Artec Eva, Artec Spider and sensors (we used PrimeSense in our tests).

Post-processing performance:

All algorithms from Edit, Tools and Texture sections are working properly.
